On 17 November CraTeX tried to beat the record for the longest crate bridge. The attempt took place at the Ganzenveld on the campus of the University of Twente. After a half year of hard work everything was prepared in order to build a crate bridge with a span of approximately 28 meters. Crates had been tested, contracts were signed, a building crew and public were gathered, you name it. Also, the committee was full of enthusiasm.

Unfortunately, the event had to be stopped due to safety reasons. When the scaffolds were going down some crates got lose, making it not safe anymore for the builders to be around the bridge.

However, the committee and everyone who helped look back proudly on the event and the massive construction! The committee has also prepared a nice base for the next attempt. Do not forget to check out the photos and videos that have been made on our website.
